Emily Bell Article

What is citizen journalism?
one of the main reasons for the shift in the development of technology where mobile phones are now able to take video clips of a high quality and length while able to post on blogs and share your experience with others.
citizen journalism isn't checked by editors or filtered through a strict legal team, therefore there isn't any proof of their stories being the truth or offensive to anyone (especially those the story involves).
exaggeration and bias are highlighted as strong disadvantages and so will effect the truth of the story and whether it is even remotely believable.
it is extremely hard to police blogging as so many posts are being written all the time; this could mean that The Guardian, for example, have a discriminant and offensive post written on its website which connotes a negative representation of them as a company.

What vision of the future does the "Googlezon" clip show?

It depicts the increasing power and domination the internet is having over our daily lives and the information that they scarily have on us as consumers. It shows how technology will only keep growing at a rapid rate and they will become capable of mind-boggling actions. The video also connotes that only a select few companies will survive and have complete control of cyberspace and allow us to go even further into the world of techonology and provide us with opportunities never been seen before...
